Pool
Description
The
pool is open Memorial Day through Labor Day. We pride
ourselves in offering a safe, family friendly environment.
It
holds 100,000 gallons and is ‘Z’ shaped.
Depth ranges from 2 Feet to 8 Feet. We also have a wading
pool for toddlers. There is a large deck area for sunbathing,
plenty of lounge chairs are available. Vending machines and a
bathhouse are on site.
A
certified lifeguard and a gatekeeper are on duty at all times.
Lifeguards
offer swimming lessons upon request.
For
the safety of our members, we have installed double drains in the place
of our single drain, as well as, anti-entanglement drain covers.
A
limited number of summer pool memberships are available. The
rate per membership is $500. This does not include any

Rules
WHAT
WE EXPECT OF OUR LIFEGUARDS
- The
guard sits on the
stand and nowhere else.
- The guard will have a
whistle and use it.
- The guard will have
pool
check at 10 minutes before the hour.
Only adults and the guard are to swim during pool check. No
children at all!
- The guard will enforce
the rules. The guard is the
BOSS. We will back the guard up.
- The guard is not to
have
a cell phone on the stand.
- Friends of the guard are
not to visit while guard is on duty.
- No one is to stand and
talk to the guard while the guard is on duty.
- The guard is not
responsible for the drink or snack machine. If you
lose money in the machine, write your name and the amount lost on the
white marker board provided on the machine.
WHAT WE EXPECT OF OUR MEMBERS
- No
running, pushing, horseplay, profanity.
- No running
dives. Back flips will be watched
closely. The guard will use his/her judgment as to whether it
is safe.
- Older children are not to
monopolize the 2’ area.
It needs to be used by younger children.
- No inappropriate touching
or contact by teenagers.
- Basketball is played from
the water only. ABSOLUTELY NO
DUNKING FROM THE WATER OR THE DECK. If you cannot play
according to the rules, you are not allowed to play at all.
- No alcoholic beverages
are allowed at the pool.

Red Cross Swimming Safety Tip
- Never swim alone
or allow anyone else to swim alone.
- Ensure that
everyone in the family learns to swim well. Take swim lessons.
- Never leave
a
child unattended near water and do not
trust a child’s life
to another child.
- Teach children
to ask for permission to go near water.
- Have young
children and inexperienced
swimmers wear a US Coast Guard-approved life
jackets around water. However, never rely on life jackets
alone. Do not use inflatable “water
wings” on children.
- Stay within an
arm’s reach of young children in the water.
- Avoid
distractions when supervising children around water.
- If a child is
missing, check the water first. Seconds count in preventing
death or disability
